After 12 years educators in their community, Veruska knew sooner or later that her passion for cooking, baking, and sweets in general, would eventually become something more. After participating in several courses with esteemed Master Gelatiere Giacomo Schiavon, Veruska transformed an old handbag store in the quiet Trieste neighborhood in Rome into her precious Gelateria daRe. Her charming gelato shop of about 20 sq. meters, with more than 15 sq. meters for the kitchen and storage, is quite different from the other shops in the Eternal City. Warm and welcoming, she chose natural materials like wood, a chalkboard and stone to attract their customers, mostly students and young professionals from the neighborhood, but also many Romans willing to travel across the city just to get a taste of real, natural, and fresh gelato prepared by an award-winning Gelatiera serving up the best gelato in Rome.
